Description

An essential part of any fashionable lady's wardrobe is a collection of unique handbags to go with every outfit.....
 
This bag features a very light beige fabric with full clusters of stunning cabbage roses, rose buds and "filler" flowers, all in shades of deep blush pinky maroon red, scattered all over.  Stunning sage foilage compliments the tones of the flowers perfectly and makes the flowers really stand out.
The lining has been done in a cottage gingham in the same deep blush pinky maroon red of the featured fabric and includes a large pocket to keep items separated and easily accessed.
A sweet frill in the same gingham has been sewn around the top of the bag.  Beneath this, I have sewn a pretty trim of matching velvet and a gorgeous white cotton floral lace.  The difference in the colour of the lace, really enables the lace to stand out.  The lace has also been stitched down so that it will not curl or lift.
The handles have been made out of the featured fabric and have been quilted for extra strength and durability.
The bag is held together with a vintage pearlised button.

Height: 11.75 inches (30 cm) - not including the frill;
Width: 15.5 inches (39.5 cm);
Gussett: 2 inches (5 cm); and
Handles: 26.5 inches (66 cm).
Some information on the construction of my bags:
I like to construct my bags for heavy duty use. I use a specialised inner lining that makes the bag extremely sturdy and very durable. My bags can consist of up to a few layers each. I am quite hard on my own items and needed to make something that would withstand a quite a battering. I also use a fabric protection to repel water, oil, grease and the like.
